Private Label Manufacturing
with a Cause

Light 4 Life is more than just a manufacturing house. Through a unique partnership with Exceptional Children's Foundation and the City of Inglewood, we are able to create beauty and opportunity.

Our Mission

Helping people with economic barriers such as disabilities, minority women, individuals on welfare and recently incarcerated. And by working with Exceptional Children's Foundation (ECF) and the City of Inglewood, we have found a way to create beauty and opportunity through the manufacturing of these beautiful candles and home fragrance products. Light a candle, surround yourself with beautiful fragrance and empower individuals with economic barriers.

Our Vision

Here at Light 4 Life, we encourage growth and possibilities to try to provide work opportunities to individuals experiencing economic barriers. We started with helping people with developmental disabilities and have recently increased our mission to help minority women and people on welfare. In the future, we plan to help all demographics including, veterans, the homeless, and individuals coming out of incarceration all of which experience economic barriers to employment. We believe that if you only give people a chance and the right guidance, they can achieve tremendous goals and perform excellently in the correct workspace environment.

Customer Mission

Light 4 Life believes that small businesses need to bring revenue and customer loyalty back into their own hands. By making their own branded products, business owners will empower themselves, their bottom-line revenue, and their customer loyalty. Our motto is “stop selling for other brands, make your own brand and build your own loyalty”.

Light 4 Life and Exceptional Children's Foundation have entered into a unique partnership that creates jobs for adults with disabilities through the manufacturing of these beautiful candles and home fragrance products. Light a candle, surround yourself with beautiful fragrance and empower individuals with disabilities.

ECF was Founded in 1946 by a group of parents who pooled their resources to create a daycare program for their children with developmental disabilities, this visionary organization now provides the highest quality services for individuals of all ages challenged with developmental, learning, and emotional disabilities – empowering them all to reach their greatest potential.

How We Help

For adults living with a disability, finding meaningful work is often very challenging. The individuals with developmental disabilities who participate with Light 4 Life are trained by Light 4 Life staff in the art of hand-crafted candle making. They also receive personalized coaching from ECF staff on both professional and life skills development. This integrated workplace training shows participants the way to greater independence while increasing their self-confidence, self-esteem and financial security.

Economic Development

We help individuals with intellectual disabilities, experiencing homelessness and even the people who just got out of prison by giving them the opportunity to work for our organization.

Women Empowerment

We believe that women can also run the world as much as men do. We are proud to say that our team is comprised of 70% women.

Boundless Opportunity

We commit to anti-racism, diversity and a stronger community. We recognize any individual who seek an opportunity to thrive.

Exceptional Children's Foundation Partnership

Light 4 Life and ECF have created one of the first integrated workplace environments for the disabled. Most of the facilities around the area are still segregated workspaces, but Light 4 Life is one of the few companies that bridged the gaps where disabled people work side by side with non-disabled people. One of the goals that we are reaching is becoming a model for what other non-profits in the non-profit space can achieve when partnering with a social enterprise.

City of Inglewood Partnership (Inglewood South Bay 1-stop business and Career Center)

With the help of Inglewood South Bay 1 stop, we provide a fully-integrated workforce system that maximizes employment and economic opportunity with a commitment to developing job skills, abilities, and attitudes essential for participation in today's workplace. With this partnership, we have been able to find work for many groups experiencing economic barriers and give them a chance to get off welfare and get back into the job market.
